Arunda of Josef Reiterer

Josef Reiterer grew up on a farm in Meltina/Mölten. After completing his training at the Laimburg agricultural centre and his apprenticeship at the state winery in Bad Kreuznach, the young oenologist made a name for himself in the field of cellar technology, before returning to his home. Together with his wife Marianne he produced his first 300 bottles of sparkling wine in 1979, and founded the first sparkling-wine winery in South Tyrol. At 1,200 m of altitude, the conditions for the cultivation, ripening and storage of these exquisite wines are ideal. These fruity, complex sparkling wine with long-lasting fine perlage have a maturation period of 24 up to 60 months before they are shaken and degassed according to the traditional method.
