Römerhof des Christian Giovanett

Perhaps it is a rediscovery; in any case, it is a passion, because the production close to nature is close to the heart of the Traminer farmer family Giovanett. At Römerhof, an old type of maize is cultivated which was known as "Tirggplent" in the South Tyrolean lowlands until 50 years ago. The typical orange-red corn kernels are ground into various types of gluten-free corn flour in the farm's own stone mill after several traditional operations ("oklaubn", "tschilln", "aufhängn", "omochn").
