This horseradish spread comes from Beerenhof in Niederdorf, where the Burger family cultivates fruit and vegetables at an altitude of 1,154 meters. The elevation makes the difference: in the fields at the foot of the Fanes Sennes Prags Nature Park, the horseradish grows more slowly than in lower regions. The result is a root with less water, but more aroma and more heat.

Harvesting takes place in late autumn or early spring. The roots are then washed, peeled and grated by hand – without cream, without artificial heat. The 70% horseradish in the jar develops its intensity solely through natural mustard oils: spicy, piquant and highly aromatic. The taste is clear and direct, with a slightly sweet undertone.
