This bakery's Schüttelbrot is particularly tasty and contains many valuable natural ingredients. The wheat for this hand-shaken bread grows at the foot of the Seiser Alm in South Tyrol, above Seis. It is then ground into wholemeal flour in the historic mill in Fursch using the power of water. The thin Schüttelbrot, a traditional bread of South Tyrolean farmers, dries quickly and is therefore much more durable. Schüttelbrot pairs excellently with speck and kaminwurzen, but also with cream cheese or quark spreads refined with herbs.
