Since 2008, spirits have been distilled at Hanighof – with great passion, dedication, precision, and in the traditional double distillation process. According to Wolfgang Obkircher, a spirit is only successful when the character of the respective year is reflected in the distillate. The peculiarities of the landscape, tradition, and the passion of the distillers should be palpable with every sip. For his distillates, Wolfgang Obkircher only uses selected fruits and pomace, following the motto: "Life is too short to drink bad spirits."
