Kräutergärten Wipptal

Behind Kräutergärten Wipptal are Gabi and Sepp Holzer along with Bernhard Auckenthaler – farmer, gardener and biologist. Together they run two farms in the southern Wipptal valley: Steirerhof in Wiesen and Botenhof in Pflersch. The different altitudes allow them to find the right location for each plant. Cultivation follows organic guidelines, harvesting is done by hand at the balsamic moment – when the essential oil content is at its peak. From the herbs they produce teas, spice blends, herbal salts and schnapps.
