On the Obergostnerhof fruit farm above Säben Monastery, high-quality farm products are produced. The fruits for the products ripen on the sunny slopes at altitudes of 750 to 1,000 meters. The dried products are manufactured entirely without chemical additives. The sun-ripened apples are gently dried with warm air until they contain only 8 to 10% moisture. This percentage guarantees a natural shelf life of around 360 days. 1,000 g of apples yield around 86 g of crispy 100% South Tyrolean apple chips.
