Raslerhof by Meinrad Rabensteiner

The Rabensteiner family has been operating the pine oil distillery on Barbianer Alm since 1912. Once built by Meinrad's great-uncle, it is now managed by Meinrad Rabensteiner himself. A tradition-conscious and environmentally friendly way of working is particularly important to the family. The use of new machines is forgone and proven traditional methods are relied upon. For example, the wild-growing Swiss stone pine and mountain pine are dried after distillation and used for the fire of the boiler. Firewood is made from waste. The family produces high-quality Swiss stone pine and mountain pine oil in limited quantities.
