An old corn variety is grown at Römerhof, which was known as "Tirggplent" in the South Tyrolean lowlands until 50 years ago. The typically orange-red corn kernels are ground into various gluten-free cornmeal types in the farm's own stone mill after several traditional work steps ("oklaubn", "tschilln", "aufhängn", "omochn").
