Since 2013, around 50 pigs per year have been kept at the Fronthof. They are part of the “South Tyrolean Bacon” project. The aim of the project is to stimulate pig farming and the production of bacon for consumers on South Tyrolean farms. The piglets are born on small farms here in South Tyrol. Species-appropriate and natural husbandry have top priority. Thus, the animals grow up healthy and close to nature right from the start.
The prices of speck and cold cuts apply to the weight specified, which might differ slightly from the product supplied. In such case, the price is adjusted accordingly.
