Beekeeping at Hieblerhof on the edge of the Schlern Nature Park has existed since 1920. In addition to the two mainstays of dairy farming and holidays at Bauernhof, beekeeping and honey production are an important source of income on the farm. The Pitscheider family produces everything needed for honey production themselves on the farm. The variety of honeys is explained by the fact that the family takes the bees to different locations, to the Unterland or to the Seiser Alm. The South Tyrolean honey from Hieblerhof has received several awards. In the years 2008, 2012 and 2016, it received the gold medal at the "South Tyrolean Honey Evaluation".
