The Kandlwaalhof, run by the Luggin family, is located in Laas in the Vinschgau valley, at 900 meters altitude. Fruits and herbs grow on the sunny slopes and are processed directly on the farm. Mustard is made from Vinschgau apricots, pears and herbs. Vinegar is pressed from ripe apples and berries, aged in wooden barrels of chestnut, cherry or apple wood. Fruit is slowly air-dried, without additives. Among them the Palapirn, a pear typical of the Vinschgau valley. From cultivation to finished product, everything stays on the farm.
