The Plunhof in Seis am Schlern appears in documents dating back to the 15th century – it once belonged to the estates of Hauenstein Castle and thus to Oswald von Wolkenstein. Fifteen years ago, trained chef Florian Rabanser bought the farm and set up a distillery. His ingredients connect South Tyrol with neighbouring regions: herbs from the Seiser Alm, lemons from Lake Garda, wine from Valpolicella. Beyond fruit brandies and grappa, he also produces gin and rum – such as the Dol Gin with Dolomite botanicals. Multiple award winner, including silver at the International Wine & Spirit Competition London and the Alambico d'Oro.
